How to prepare for your interview with ResQ Club
Preparing an interview can be stressful, but with a well-thought plan it can be a lot easier. Here's a list you can use and tweak to build your own plan and confidently prepare your next interview:
- Read our career page to better understand what’s in it for you if you join us
- Check Glassdoor reviews to gain some additional insights related to ResQ Club company culture and work life
- Read our blog to see how you feel about our company culture and if it’s a good fit for you
- Read our Code of Conduct to make sure this is something you relate to
- Download our app to see how it works (of course, no need to make any purchase through it but always good to browse through and see how it works)
- Review the job description you applied to (try to save it somewhere so you can refer back to it even when the job opening isn’t visible anymore)
- Come up with a 1-2 minute introduction of you that relates to the job description as well
- Come up with few points about you and your experience you’d really want to highlight during your interview
- Prepare 5 -10 questions to ask the interviewer during or at the end of the interview. The more you prepare, the better because many will be answered organically during the interview. For questions, think about the type of things you’d like to know about the job, team, working environment, etc.. Things that matter to you
- Make sure you know who you are meeting and where: it's our job to ensure you get all the details of the meeting (who you're meeting with, online, in-person…) but remind yourself of these prior to meeting to avoid last minute stress
- Right before the interview, review the job description one more time, to make sure it’s fresh in your mind
- Prepare to answer questions such as (this is just an example to give you an idea of the type of questions you may be asked):
What relevant experience do you have related to this job?
What has been the most challenging thing in your career so far?
Tell me about a time you failed and how did you fix it?
What type of skills would you need to develop to succeed in this role?
Share some tools and techniques you have learned in the past year and your key takeaways?
We hope this can help you feel more organized and confident when preparing for your interview. This certainly isn’t an exhaustive list and there are lots of ways to prepare, the most important is to feel as comfortable as possible when interviewing. Good luck!
